Color Wheel
The color wheel, also known as the color disk or color circle, is a visualization of colors in a circular structure based on hues, tints, and shades. There are multiple versions of this visualization; some show a ring of colors (hues) with distinct colors. The one here shows the hues and their tints and shades in a continuum. The color wheel has a wide array of applications, a few of the most common include:
Simplify the process of finding complementary colors, analagous colors, tetrads, etc, especially by hand.
Represent the colors in a quasi-sorted manner.
Find new color schemes and palletes by finding existing ones on the wheel, then applying rotations to that existing pattern.
